Yes, there are Services, mostly maintenence that don't run as well as they should here for an upscale Complex that costs 4-5k avg per month -however.
They have a GEM in the front office. Her name is Dana and she is terrific. Great attitude, pleasant knowledgeable. She's a Terrific representation for your company and brand .Understanding and professional she always finds a resolution ! 5++ for Dana !
My Packages and our neighbors packages continuously stolen from our FRONT DOORS. Your packages might also be stolen from the mailroom as you will see open packages lying on the floor. The Hub never has enough room and Amazon throws 100’s of packages on the floor in front of a smelly bathroom for you to try to search for your package. Alarms have gone off over 5 times in less than a year. 3 of those being anywhere from 2am-4am. Leasing office is a joke. It’s a Revolving door of people who work there and then run to another company.
I have been living in Avalon Rockville Centre for a year and1/2. I can seriously say I am consistently met with smiles, concern, and help when needed. It feels like family. I would especially like to give a call out to Derick Victors, Dana Litterello, and Sergio Lopez.

I have lived at this Avalon location because it is very close to my job and it has been the only thing that has kept me here for a few years. I have finally reached my limit when they decided to raise my rent another 25% from last years renewal and made the lease term of 23 months. They have no customer loyalty at this location and I think if you ask residents who would like to live here more than one year, they would agree. While I have had a few good experiences here, most have not been. Here is a list of some of my experiences over the past few years of living at the Avalon in Rockville Centre.
- My car was broken into and had valuables stolen in the parking garage I pay a monthly fee for with no reimbursement or care.
- My medication was stolen from my apartment during one of their routine maintenance calls.
- Water in shower and sink turn orange about once a month.
- Hot water and A/C problems
- Garbage not disposed of daily in the trash room, leaving awful odors.
- Garage roof leaking chemicals on my car causing damage
- Late night fire alarms
- Getting woken up at 3am by loud neighbors
- Frequent amenity closures for neighbor party's
- Use of non pet friendly salt on sidewalks and ramps in winter
- Thin windows, walls, floor and ceiling. I can here my neighbors in all directions at all times of the day. I hear people in the pool, neighbors walking in each room, above me, conversations from neighbors to my sides and in the halls.
- Eviction notices on neighbors doors.
- Elevators broken for months at a time.
- Parking tickets for parking on the street overnight in front of the building.
These are just some of my experiences and I have heard of many worse things from neighbors in the building and through email notifications from the staff. These range from stolen cars in the garage to stolen packages to personal property damage from fire sprinklers.
There is no customer loyalty or appreciation from the Avalon. They could not care any less about their residents. They are solely there to get you to sign a contract and enforce every little detail of it. You will never receive better rates for remaining in the apartment you are in. For every lease renewal, they treat you worse than a new resident and offer higher rates to you on the renewal, so you are better off moving to a different unit, even if it is the exact same layout. I have lived in 4 different units. And know many other residents who have done the same. If you do plan on living here more than one year. You should also plan on moving each lease renewal too.
There are a few good things about this place too. The location is great and right next to the train. But with that convenience, you will also have to listen too and feel the trains running through every 30 minutes. Also, the fire department is right next door incase of an emergency. But again, with that, you will hear the sirens go off during any fire in the town. They do have two pools, a gym, and game room which are great to have when they are open.
Well, thank you for the location Avalon RVC. It's been a pleasure.
THE WORST MANAGEMENT.
The ongoing construction has been affecting mental and physical health of some current residents for three (!!!) months now, and management did literally NOTHING to prevent, reduce, or address discomfort associated with it.
I have been sick from all the dust and particles from construction site outside my window and had to finally go to the doctor to have him tell me that the reason is dirt and dust that I constantly inhale!
Sergio calls back only to “close the case”, nothing- I repeat nothing has been done to address the issue.
When I asked if windows cleaning service would be organized after construction is done, Sergio said he would try to make it happen. Seriously??!! Wouldn’t it be on top of your list as the least you can do?
I’ve heard a lot of stories about bad management companies but Avalon beats them all. So disappointed.
Alex from maintenance was super helpful in fixing my broken washer which caused all the water to flow out and flood my apartment late evening. I was worried I wouldn’t find help on time but Alex went out of his way at to dry my apartment and followed up to make sure everything was fine. Great service ! Thank you :)
John Kruck from maintenance provided excellent service with fixing our bathtub which wasn’t draining, our window blinds, some other hardware issues! He responded and took care of the problems within 24 hours. We were extremely satisfied with his work. Definitely recommend him :)

Roberto from maintenance exceeded expectations with his service in getting my kitchen cabinet doors fixed. They were broken and needed to be replaced or repaired. Same with some of the pluming bathroom issues! He did a neat job! and I am very thankful for his services!

If you can find another apt just do it ...elevators constantly out of service. Appliances in questionable repair. Trash service that is lackluster. Management that is minimally responsive.Renting is already hard don't compromise. I'm sure …
